Lung Cancer Treatment
While about 85% of lung cancer cases are attributed to long-term tobacco smoking, the remaining 10-15% occur in people with no history of smoking. Lung cancer may be caused by a combination of genetic factors and external elements such as air pollution or dangerous work environments. There are two main types of lung cancers or carcinomas: Small-Cell Lung Carcinoma (SCLC) and Non-Small-Cell Lung Carcinoma (NSCLC) and treatment options depend on the type of cancer, its stage, and the health of the patient. Common treatments include surgery, chemotherapy and radiation.

Lung Cancer Symptoms

Our staff is well-versed in both cancer types and all treatment options meaning they can help you decide which treatment or care option(s) will work best for you while also working to address some of the uncomfortable side effects of both the disease and its treatments.
The most common symptoms of lung cancer are coughing, coughing up blood, weightloss, difficulty breathing or becoming easily winded, and chest pains. If you are experiencing any of these signs, we urge you to make an appointment with your primary care provider who can provide an oncology referral if they see fit.
